African Bead Wire Bracelet Copper Black Silver Gold 3" D X 2" H X 10" C
This vintage African bracelet was handmade in South Africa by weaving copper telephone wire as a base and intertwining glass beads throughout. The beautiful Zulu tribal design is amazing and rich colors of copper, gold, silver and black merge perfectly into this fine piece of jewelry. The silver beads are more of a silvery white color. This bracelet is flexible but not stretchable.
This is a very generous size bracelet and easily slides on and off of my wide hands and onto my slim wrist. I mention this because there are very few bracelets that I can slide on. This also slides and fits firmly on my mid forearm if you would like to wear it that way. Although I like it dangling on my wrist, if my hand were smaller, it would slide off, therefore, if you have a small hand you may want to wear higher or it may only work for you as a piece of beautiful art.
The beaded items you see on this site were made prior to the advent of westerners changing designs more for speed and quantity.
