African Adinkra Symbol of Peace & Friendship - Carved Wood Wall Plaque
Adinkra Symbols are African Proverbs based in Akan and other West African cultures. These symbols handcrafted in Ghana, are found in many forms, but this beautiful type of Vintage Wood Plaque is my favorite. It can either be placed on a stand as seen in the photo or it can be placed on the wall, there is an opening in back for this purpose.
ESE NE TEKREMA
Symbol of Friendship, Interdependence and Peace
The teeth and the tongue play interdependent roles in the mouth. They may come into conflict, but they need to work together.
The artist's explanation: The Teeth and Tongue may be in conflict or have different functions, but if they want to speak, they have to work together.
