Zimbabwe is said to have Africa's best stone carvers, but I believe all continents should be included in that statement. Whether the carving is .5 inches or 10 feet, this work is unique to Zimbabwe and some of the world's best.

The sculptor in Zimbabwe chooses just the right stone, often transports it to where it will be carved and nourishes it from inspiration to completion.

This vintage abstract sculpture handcrafted of Serpentine Stone, is the result of this talent and inspiration. I've purchased all of the Shona sculpture in and around Harare.

There is slight scratching and crack on the side of the head as shown in the last photo, although this is a part of aging and vintage, the price reflects a discount. The scratch is noticed much more in the photo and is almost unnoticeable to the eye.
