Traditional Luba Tribal Gourd Calabash Pipe made in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, using a carved gourd and intricate copper wrapping for function, beauty and identity. Mid- 20th century item passed down in one the family and made for use, not just decor.

In Africa, when I would see a pipe in a vintage store on display, it was usually standing straight up on a stand. The person who makes my stands believes items should be displayed as they are used in life, and this is how he decides the design of the stand for all of the items I bring to you.
