African Batik Pillow Tribal Pot 18" X 18"
This African Pot on this Tribal Batik Pillow is surrounded by Geometric Design, and is handcrafted in Zimbabwe. Starting with a cinnamon brown frame, the artist uses colors of cinnamon, gunmetal green, orange, white, rose and brown to complete the abstract design. Design continues on the back with beautiful rainbow colored art. There is an opening in the back for easy placement of a pillow insert.
This unique, traditional tribal pillow was made by and signed by the artist, who uses the traditional Sadza porridge, instead of wax, in making these batiks. As this item is made by an individual artist and not a group given a pattern to make, each work of art is unique. More of his work is shown in this shop in larger wall hangings and tablecloths.
As with many works of art in this shop, this is an unused vintage item, which I call vintage new.
