This clay, artisan plate with intricate tribal designs and symbols is another example of the beautiful work of South Africa. Handcrafted by former farm workers in South Africa, who have come together in a local empowerment group in the mountains of South Africa. After painting, a traditional wax finish is applied to each piece. The inspiration for this decorative vase comes from traditional South African tribal symbol and designs, influenced by the local cave drawings.
